Use

Corticosteroid preparations can be taken as a pill or liquid, inhaled, or injected.

In general, corticosteroids are used in one of the following ways:

Inhaled treatment courses (MDI, DPI, Nebulizer)
Short term oral treatment courses
Alternate-day oral treatment courses
Long term oral treatment courses
